University of Dayton BS 2016, MSMP 2018, Creighton University School of Medicine
I am originally from Southern Illinois, about 15 minutes outside of St. Louis. I went to the University of Dayton for undergrad where I played softball and majored in pre-medicine. I always wanted to go to medical school, but I did not get the grades or have a good MCAT score to get there. I did receive one interview when I first applied, and they suggested I look at post-bacc programs. I came across Case's MSMP program and knew it would be a good fit for me. The program challenged me academically, professionally, and personally, and I wouldn't be where I am today without it. From the support of the faculty to the opportunities that the school and city provided, I could not have picked a better program for me to reach my goals. Since leaving the MSMP program, I was accepted to Creighton University School of Medicine where I am now a third-year medical student (eek). My time in medical school has been challenging but the MSMP program taught me to be prepared to face any challenges and I feel ready to take the next step in my career as an OBGYN. I am extremely grateful for the faculty and my peers during my time at the MSMP program for I could not have achieved my dream of becoming a doctor without them.
